: Hi all

: I'm looking at buying my first beloved BMW. I've wanted one for as long as I can remember. (I'm in the UK).

: The car I've got my eye on is a 1991 (H) 525i SE in red. It has the M50 24 Valve engine, 5 speed manual box, 82k Miles and is almost mint condition cosmetically. It has 5 spoke alloys, Steel sunroof and twin tailpipes. Does this all make sense for this model?

: Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a nice car. With that milage, be sure to have teh front end components checked out well. The Thrust Arms and other steering linkage tend to fail around that milage and they are expensive to repair. If the steering wheel shakes at all when braking or at 50+ mph then you likely have front end problems. Good luck.
