I just bought almost the exact same last week. 1991 525i auto/manual trans 108k miles. It is a sweet car to drive. The problems I had them fix before I bought it were, trans leak, new trans mounts, new muffler. From there, I replaced the tires, make sure to get the car checked by a mechanic before you buy. : I'm looking at buying my first beloved BMW. I've wanted one for as long as I can remember. (I'm in the UK).

: The car I've got my eye on is a 1991 (H) 525i SE in red. It has the M50 24 Valve engine, 5 speed manual box, 82k Miles and is almost mint condition cosmetically. It has 5 spoke alloys, Steel sunroof and twin tailpipes. Does this all make sense for this model?

: Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
