Traction control, 94 540I (archive)

Hey all,

How affective is the TCS (traction control system) on the 94 540IA? Is it a worth while option or pretty much useless? I am not sure what it in fact does, I know my friends NSX had it, and he would disable when we were running in any one of the race type activities (soloII, Drag racing). My new 540I apparently has all options except CD, and just trying to track down each option.

Also, is there a good site out there that lists all the possible options?
