: I was wondering if those fuel injector cleaner bottles they sell really work and if so what brand?

Ward,
usually the manufacturers do not recommend any additives. Techron seems to be one that is somehow accepted. In any case, I hope you do not follow some of the silly ads I've seen on TV (I don't recall names).

Usually such injector cleaner additives/solutions are used before an oil change, hence a relatively low usage. Check the archives of the uuc digest list (there's a link on the top of the board) - there was an interesting discussion about this.

In my experience, the Techron gas from Chevron works pretty good.

(the usual crap/disclaimers)

Regards,
Dragos
