That is a common problem on that vintage car. Both back doors had shrinking vinyl on my car(90 520i) under the fabric section above the arm rest. You can prise that section away, slit the vinyl so that it can be pushed back to a moulded fit and try and glue it in place with contact adhesive. The adhesive seems to be the problem as I have tried a couple of types and they usually come apart again as the vinyl is hard to stick to.

: Hello,
: Does anyone know of a good place that will recover the door panels for a good price. I hesitant to go to a local shop. The material on a couple of doors has shrunk and pulling away. No obvious fix except to recover.
: Thanks in advance
