Two weeks ago I added a full bottle of Valvoline fuel injector cleaner because my tech uses Valvoline too, to see if it would improve. There was a glorious improvement, alas short lived. A tank later and it seems the 'problem' returned albeit not as bad. I'm starting to wonder if my injectors are that nasty or I need some other type of engine/fuel-line work. *shrug*
For the time being, I'm not driving as agressive until I figure something out.

: : I was wondering if those fuel injector cleaner bottles they sell really work and if so what brand?
: : And I have a set of 16x7 rims and I was wondering what different size width and profile tires fit on them, and what brand you recommend? Thanks alot
: Ward,
: usually the manufacturers do not recommend any additives. Techron seems to be one that is somehow accepted. In any case, I hope you do not follow some of the silly ads I've seen on TV (I don't recall names).
: Usually such injector cleaner additives/solutions are used before an oil change, hence a relatively low usage. Check the archives of the uuc digest list (there's a link on the top of the board) - there was an interesting discussion about this.
: In my experience, the Techron gas from Chevron works pretty good.
: (the usual crap/disclaimers)
