: With the a/c on, every now and then I hear a sound that sounds like a tire screeching. It seems to come from the a/c. This is my first summer with the car, so I have nothing to compare. Anyone have any ideas what this may be? It's not loud.

I had an intermittent noise much as you descride that occoured when the clutch engaged the ac compressor. What i found was that it wasn't the compressor clutch bearing but the bearing of the tensioner wheel next to the compressor that tensions the drive belt. Easiest way to check is switch on ac and then as the system is spinning the wheels spray some GT85 or WD40 or similar lubricant into the bearing area on the wheel, If this stops the noise thens it's a relatively straight forward swap of this wheel. See your bently for details.

Cheers Big Ears
