In addition the exhaust manifold seems to make getting a wrench or socket with swivel joint on the bolt very difficult (if not impossible). I'm beginning to wonder how necessary it is to remove this plug when changing the radiator fluid.

: 93 525iaI went ahead and "changed" the fluid by just draining the radiator. I was able to get about 2 gals out. Since the book calls for 3 gal, I figure its close enough since I do it every year.
