M3 alarm brain (archive)

I know this is the wrong board to post this but as an e34 ex-pat I was trying to see if there may be some crossover here...the m3 kids are abit arrogant and more interested in discussing the size of their "toys" than what this board is for, help to fellow owners.
Here goes...
I lost my keyless entry FOB and bought a new one. In order to reprogram it I need to locate the brain on my 95 m3. I've been told two locations, behind the glove box and next to the left/front kick panel. I cannot find it in either location. To reprogram looks to be easy, finding the brain, different story. If anyone can help, I would appreciate the assistance very much.
I will say I miss this board but since I sold my 535, there hasn't been as many reasons to visit.
