I just bought my 3rd BMW. I am sold on them NOT for their straight line acceleration, but BRAKING (Have you ever noticed that many fast inexpensive cars have front end damage?)HANDLING, Overall QUALITY and because they are SOO DARN EASY AND LOGICAL TO WORK ON. Image means NOTHING. I could care less if someone else is impressed with the make of car I drive. If I wanted acceleration I would buy a Camaro and a couple of grand and have something that would do a 10 second quarter mile.
I guess I fall in to the 5% that are always driving that winding road in your survey.
