I drive my BMW very responsibly (no accidents and only that one ticket in 8 years) but sometimes stupid laws and ordinances piss me off. In the example I posted, I got the ticket after driving through a YELLOW light on the onramp. The cop first accused me of running a red light (which I definately did not do), then after my argument with him, he wrote the ticket for "being the third car through the cycle" (max 2 cars per light cycle). That's bullshit but he figured since I drove a nice BMW I would just pay the $103 fine and move on. More revenue for his ticket quota... To his surprise I challanged his word in court and won! Even the judge questioned his ability to have clearly seen the signal from where he was parked. The point is, don't let the highway patrol pust you around. If your'e doing 100 in a 70 zone at 3am with no one around for miles in a car made for the autobahn, is there really anything wrong with that? Nope.
