: I have never seen such a lot of responses to a posting in my time of following this discussion group. So I need to start off by saying that, based on the Marketing Development Measurements that BMWs competitors use, BMW IS easily out done by others.
: But that Blue Medallion means something of value to those who own it (Not the Yuppies or wannabes).
: It means a machine that is (As discussed before) Balanced. And what does "Balance" mean?
: I have a 1992 535I. 5 speed, 6 cyl, 4 door sedan. I recently had all the bushings and Guibo replaced. Shocks are still stock. Springs are still stock. It has 107K miles on it and it is the most HONEST driving car I have ever owned. And I have owned a few in my 34 years of licenced driving experience. Having driven my friends 430 I miss the feeling of a Clutch. Having driven my other friends Z-1, I understand accelleration, but not ride. And the Jag 30 is nice, but somehow the guages and instruments just don't fit where I want to see them.
: And that is the issue here. This car (The e-28 has better visibility, but worse electrics) is the best Compromise of what *I* want in a sedan. If you know what I mean, then I don't have to explain. It is like Viking Boats. Once you have it, you don't have to explain it. It just IS.: I know. This discussion lacks "Factual market Data" for discussion. SO I guess I just will be quiet, and smile all during the drive home.
