Bought the kit from Kragen's. Basically you pay $30 for the nozzles a can of oil, and $5 for each 12 oz can of R134a. The Kragen kit cost $45 + tax, 3 cans of Freon. The Pep Boy's kit cost $40, but only 2 cans of Freon. Basically, you discharge the system first. You should take it to a garage, Air Con place, etc. Some places will do it for free, R12 is valuable stuff ($50/lb+). Connect the adaptors in the kit. Hook up the first can to the low pressure side nozzle via the hose they give you. Turn on the A/C. It won't engage, cause the system is empty, but have the light on anyhow. Turn the engine on too. Dump the 2 cans of Freon in, then the 8 oz can of oil. That was enough for me, if it's cold, you don't really need to add more. Technically, you're supposed to use 85% the amount of R134a as you would R12. I didn't know that amount. After 2 cans, she was blowing ICE cold. $50 later, I'm a happy camper. Good luck!
