Coolant sensor? (I hope?) (archive)

Hey, what happens when the coolant sensor blows? Will it hold the temp gauge mid-blue, or all the way down? My car was in the blue all last night, but I knew that couldn't be possible. So after about 1/2 an hour, I just gave it a good hard run through the first two gears (woo hoo!) I notice about 2 minutes later that the gauge was reading right! I hope it's a sensor issue, not a cluster problem, but how can I tell? When I drove to church and back this morning, the sensor went up and down a little, but in the blue the whole time. Any thoughts? Thanks.
