Steering gearbox adjustment screws (archive)

Hi all. I have some steering wheel play and tightened things from the steering wheel down to the gearbox. When I rotate the steering column I hear and feel some play in the steering gearbox. Now there are 2 adjustment screws on the gearbox ( one on top horizontally and one on front vertically). Does anyone know which one adjusts what? I think one is for the steering sensitivity but I don't know what the other is for. Please help. TIA b
