I just purchased a 95 525it wagon {love it}.
I purchased a cd changer with bracket from cutter motors www.cuttermotor.com/bmw total with shipping was 347.00 new in the box this was the alpine unit it sounds great and just plugged into the factory hasness about 15min to install. good luck marty
: : I've just bought a '93 Touring wagon and am looking for sources for parts less expensive than the dealer. Specifically, the rails and cross members for the roof rack ($800 at the local dealers), also a compatible CD changer (plugs into side panel in cargo area) ($500 at dealer). Any good used sources, or discount OEM parts suppliers? Thanks for any help. Love the car!: Bavarian Auto is a good place to go for all kind of parts. The phone number is 1-800-535-2002. Also, check Bekkers (spelling?). Once you find a part at a price you like call one or the other and ask them to beat the price, they usually will.
: I also have a 525 Touring and was looking for a cd changer to put in the back. If your car did not come with the harness already instaled it is not cheap. Same for the bracket that holds the cd changer. I took out the radio and put in an after market radio/cd player with a changer in the back. WOW, what a big change in the sound! BMW radios are not that good and for the money it would take to get your car up to speed, you can get a great stereo. Keep the old one for re-sale, people really want the original stuff
