Nick,
As a [proud owner of a 92 535i, I guess I'm kind of partial, but with reasons - the 3.4 liter
inline six is almost as powerful as the 3.0 V8, has proven dependability (some say they go over 250k)decent mpg (20+) and fair amount of power.
as far as the V8's go they are newer, perhaps more refined but not proven YET but going by bmw's history it should be wonderful also, Now for the 2.5 liter 525i, nice car, economical, but the motor should have stayed in the 3 series, the 5 series is a 4000lbs car (sorry 525 owners) to sum it up - any of these cars would be a great addition to your fleet/family but I love the 535's. Price - 11900 for a 90 535 w/133k is pricey
I purchased my 92 w/120k for thousands less - shop around!!!
