Try your LOCAL auto parts store (O'Reiley,AutoZone, NAPA etc) they can get you a rebuilt one for about 160.00 with a WARRENTY (between 1 year and lifetime) I have replaced several (on various cars)and they work great + they are guaranteed, I have only had 1 fail after 11 months and they replaced it no questions asked. Try getting a warranty from the factory on this part. Anyway I would recommend converting to R134 at the same time so you wont have to mortgage your house next time you need some freon. Whatever you do REPLACE THE DRIER (filter)at the same time. Also if you do it yourself (easy)evacuate the system before recharging (apply a vacuum)
Good luck
