Thanks for the info. I know that aftermarket steering wheels can transform the feeling of a car (I put a Momo Club 4 on our family Volvo 745 Turbo manual, don't laugh, with bilsteins and IPD sway bars it'll blow any wagon but a 540 touring away). I would say that it was the best $250 spent on the car.

Having said that, I probably will not change the steering wheel on the 535i. I like the air bag, and while the stock wheel is not nearly thick enough, it is ok as is.

I have managed to track down a wrecked M5, so the steering box is an option that is not outrageously expensive...
