I wanted to check the level of my ATF. I replaced my radiator and lost some fluid when I had to disconnect the ATF cooler. I followed the instructions in the Bentley manual to check the ATF level. Get the fluid up to operating temp, have car on level surface, put in neutral with engine running. When I removed the fill plug ATF came out, about 1/2 pint. Did I do this right? Was there to much ATF in the transmission to begin with. Can excess ATF harm the transmission. Thanks for the help.
