I was afraid of your last point! Mechanics here always seem to find huge painful solutions to the smallest of gremlins! I will certainly check out the evaporator....i'm not sure of the car has a microfilter (my dad's car actually), i am not sure here in the tropics they specify that as standard equipment, and my father certainly didn't go nuts with the options list! Off to the mechanics then.....thanks for the pointers!
