I personally have never replaced the filter on my reservoir but I do notice that the filter size is bigger than the reservoir opening.There was some previous post suggesting the reservoir could be split open.If you notice at the center of the reservoir there is something like a place to hook up a tool to disassemble it into two halves.Maybe,maybe not.Just a thought.

: I took my car to a mechannic to have the a/c system diagnosed. He presented me with a list of things that he felt needed attention. One of them was dirty power steering fluid, with the recommendation of changing the filter. I bought a filter and I am now wondering what to do with it. I have the bently manual, but it is never mentioned. Does the entire brown reservoir need to be replaced, or can I open it somehow to get at the filter. I would appreciate help from anyone with a procedure on this.
