Not true. If the Nikasil block is replaced with an Alusil one, your warranty is the greater of: 1. The remaining time or mileage (whichever comes first) on the 6 year/100,000 mile warranty (from date in service) or 2. The standard 1 year/12,000 warranty that comes with any mechanical work performed at a BMW dealer.
