I will attempt not to vent and say lots of words not fit for TV....

Basically I just installed a CD changer friday night that I bought off of someone, and it went in very easily, and worked perfectly. Then saturday rolled around.

Now it will neither eject, nor play, nor change discs. Just make really nasty clicking noises. The changer in question is the Pioneer changer that fits my '92 525iT.

I have been unable so far to even eject the cartridge manually, but all trays at least appear to be fully retracted into the cartridge. I checked to see if a CD came off the tray and got stuck in there, but I can't see it if it did. Should I try to open the thing up and poke around, or am I just asking for trouble? (I'm fairly competent with mechanical stuff, and was able to perform a similar operation on our VCR when it died and wanted to eat a rental... though the thing was shot and I wasn't trying to make it it ever work again...)

ANY thoughts, insights, or advice is appreciated. I don't want to have to pay 400 bucks to fix a changer I paid 200 on and end up still paying as much as bavarian autosport. The longer this thing stays away from the dealer, the better.
