I agree that gloss paint on the oem chipguard finish, non-smooth surface looks bad. The '95 E34 OE skirts/rockers or the subtle AC Schnitzer skirts/rockers would be a must rather just than painting the chipguard finish on the earlier E34s for the full effect. On lighter colored cars, the black actually gives an impression of a higher (ground clearance) looking car.
