The M50 is as you would expect a more avanced design and has become the basis for all the smaller sixes currently onthemarket. The M50 was the first to incorporate Vanos (variable camshaft timing) and is a very understressed engine. Besides being a great engine it produces more power than the M20 and appears to require less maintenace.
