You need to pull up hard. Imagine the length of the seat being a number line from 0 to 1. The tabs are approximately at 1/3 and 2/3. Just lean back on the seatback and pull with both hands. I don't know specifically from there, but it'll probably be obvious.

i took out the bottom part.. now how do i take out the rest of the seat?
