The new 8mm wires can carry more current but what x-tra current are you providing? dont replace them unless your wires are worn out.
if you really want to benifit some power install a jacobs ignition with those wires.

I have a 90 535iA and this coming weekend I'm going to tack it to the grad strip just for fun. I was wandering if the 8 mm park plug wires give any significant change to acceleration. Are the wires worth the money?
