Probably needs new belt and check idler pulleys there maybe a bad bearing in one.
Noise probably belt being loose on the A/C compressor pulley.

Hi all you wonderful BMW folks,

I really enjoy reading your discussions.

I went to search the archives but see it is down for a while. I own a 94 525iT and have noticed the tensioner belt making noises all summer but this other noise just started and it might also be the belt but it is an awful squeal. It ranges from a short squeak to a longer squalling noise, lasting no more than a few seconds, that appears while turning a corner to shutting off and turning on the compressor, so I'm not sure what is causing it or what is wrong. The A/C works just fine. If anyone could help, I'd appreciate it.

Thank You,
Cheri Fruehling
