CURIOUS! MY IGNITION SWITH WON'T TURN ON. ANY TRICKS? HAS BEEN A LITTLE WEIRD RECENTLY. NEVER FORCED IT. CHECKED ; CAR IN PARK, DOORS AND TRUNK LOCKED/CLOSED,BATT OK,STEERING WHEEL LOCK FREE... THANKS!

My '90 535 has done this twice. The key will turn far enough to unlock the steering wheel but cannot be turned as far as the accessory position.

The first time it happened we were returning from vacation and were at a rest stop miles from anywhere - most unsettling. After about 10 minutes of fiddling with the key it turned.

That was 11 months ago. The problem cropped up again in June and almost spoiled my first driver's school as I almost missed the full course assault. Again, it worked after about 10 minutes of trying.

I would certainly be interested in the fix.

Anthony
