E34 Micro Filter Location (archive)

Can anyone help with finding the location of the microfilter on a 1993 525i. I pulled the glove box out. Took off all of the covers that I could find. I seen the air conditioning and heater coils, but no micro filter. Is the filter above these coils? Is it next to the fire wall? Does the Bently manual have a picture. I've got a Chilton's manual and it just talks in general terms about removing it saying that it's the area that I was looking. Thanks for any help.
