Thanks for a great suggestion. I have tried just about everything I could think of in hopes of removing the stubborn water spots from both side mirrors. Nothing did the trick, except:

The stove top cleaner works like nothing else.
Wow! What a difference that stuff has made. I can see, I can see!!!!!!

It does take a bit of buffing time but the results are awesome.
