Jeff,

The big question is where you live and what kind of weather you have. Here in Sydney we have a mild climate and rain is the only weather we face. So for us wet weather performance becomes critical, especially after a dry period. I have Pirelli P6000's which are a high performance touring tyre. Excellent in the dry and wet. Very fussy about balance but no complaints.

If, on the other hand, you get to build snowmen I must admit I have absolutely no experience in this area. Phil Coppin on this list would be the man to talk to. He lives in Chicago and I hear it occasioanlly snows there..... :)

If I were to look at other tyres I would (for Sydney onditions) consider Pirelli, Michelin, Yokohama or Continental. I am not so thrilled about Dunlops or Bridgestones although others on the list have had good experiences.

Hope this helps,

Geoff
