First the variables. Is it for daily use in traffic etc? Or long distance or even "Spirited Driving". Have been playing around with all three options. The recommended pressures here in Australia are the same as those for the US and Canada (Lets call that the Colonial Specifition!!). Having said that I am running those pressures now and they are fine but notice the back is a bit harder than the front. Previously, I have run around with 40 PSI all round and have even been on the track with those presures. Bit hard for daily use but feel good. More communication with the tyre and road surface. Then there's the 35 PSI all round. Liked tht a lot for around town. Good feel, good grip, not soft etc. The big consideration is tyre temperature. So weather and road condition a big issue. Back in the Old Dart it's not very hot. Out here mid summer the air temperature will hit 40 to 45 and once recorded 55 degrees C. So tyres get very hot. Air expands and too much heat the tyres do not like. So it depends. I like 35 all round and have found no difficulty around town or long disctance cruising wiht family on board. 40 all round is fun but less comfortable. One last thing. With 17" wheels the comfort factor is reduced again. Take this into consdideration. Remember I am talking from a basis of standard 15" wheels.
Hope this helps,
Geoff
