Sunroof Closure Problem on '89 535i (archive)

I now can not completely get my sunroof to completely close. Has anyone had this problem? When I press the sunroof button it only closes 3/4 of the way, then it stops. If I push the button upward, the roof closes almost all of the way but not quite. This is very frustrating!
