Whatever else you do, have it checked by a professional. '93 525iSe (in the UK). Bought with 100k on the clock, now 120k. My independent engineer has taken a lot of money off me - no complaints - all milage related. Rear subframe bushes. Front dampers. Brake discs. Worst was air conditioning condenser. Only needed to change a pipe but unions had grown on to condenser and ruined the stubs when removing. And routine servicing. Always use genuine parts - they're the only good ones! Make sure you buy a good car - it will cost you money but a LOT less than a bad one! My formner E28 reached 250k (miles!) and never let me down. Great cars! ioitn gondenser.shocks. Shockers. 100kalted. kega related. sompklaint
