I have been battling the shimmies for months now. I have changed the upper control arm and now am about to change the lower arm. I brought the car to get the wheels balanced with a Hunter DSP 9700. They said that they could not balance the wheels due to excessive force variance. But they did not tell me if the wheels were bad or the tire. The shop did emphasize the tires but could not give a definitive answer. Anyone with any input would be greatly appreciated. TIA b

I have 730's on my 328( 205/16) and think they are great. My 535 has 235/45/17 RE70 on Schnitzer wheels, and it took about 500 miles and a bump in pressure to 38 psi to reduce tramlining . BTW, it also has a Dinan Stage one with the 750 control arm bushings. Did you buy used wheels? Try having them checked at Wheel Collision Center or one of the other specialty shops. Was the alignment done with the proper weight in the car? It takes almost 500 lbs. of weight distributed around the car to be set to spec. Stock air pressure is no good in this
setup in my experience. Raising it above 35psi and experimenting did the most good for me.
