It is the engine oil pressure, not the light. It illuminates and displays the message "engine oil pressure" ...... "check owner's manual" but disappears while I am driving. Any advice? Thanks--Paul


I have recently purchased a 91 535i, and the oil pressure light goes off telling me to check the owners manual. All the manual says is to check my oil level, which is fine. Can this mean anything else, or am I dealing with a faulty switch? Thanks for the input.
