I have a 95 6spd 540i and it is a great car. As far as the nikasil vs anusil issue I would check the build date of the BMW and if it is still under warranty, 6rs 100k, you could always invest the cost of the leakdown test (approx. $150)and if it fails you get a new block. Also 95 6 spds are a rare bird but E 320s are a dime a dozen.
