Great meeting u guyz(AZ,Izzy & Moots).Thot there were no fans for the e34 series of carz(Like u said, too old).Just want to check with u all if the following light mods were feasible.
-Iridium sparks/cables(Any recommended brand for BMs)
-Induction box(not the K&N conical one but box type filter)
-A superchip(is it compatible for the '89 520i)
Just checking to see if i can adopt this model b4 attempting. The mods here may sound simple, but it certainly felt different when i drove a fren'z Honda Civic side by side another one with factory specs. While i understand the limitations of my car(it's basically an exec car), i want to make the best of it.Thanx for the input so far, keep me posted.

Just called a Superchips dealer in Singapore (RaceTech) 65-554 4554 and fortunately they still have the chip for a 525i (10-15% increase in HP and Torque). So probably heading down there next month.

Try giving them a call for the 520i...nothing to lose.

Hey thanx for the info AZ. Last time i was there anyway, was in 97.
It's a bit saddening when your car is considered too old when it's only one model less than the current one i.e. E39. This is the same case if u look into the bimmer magazines which only has accessories for e39s. The same doesn;t apply for the 3 series, the e36's is still in demand.

Email me about yuor mods dude....

Hi people, new to yur forum. Recently bot a '89 520i. While the car is more exec type car, me being the car crazy guy needs more to work on. I'm intrested in doing some enhancements to get the best out of this car. Recently test drove a friend's Honda, feels a whole lot different from the normal Honda Civic because of the following mods; (1) Denso Iridium sparks (2) NYK spark cables (3) Induction box
(4) Minds-VTEC superchip
Feel it's cost effective, if I'm to model after this; not too sure if this'll go down well with my car(the sparks/cables are japanese; Is the 520i fitted with a chip-here again there's the question of compatibility.)
Hope to hear from u all soon. John from Spore...
