Fan Clutch Nut Removal (archive)

Thanks to all for replying to my early message on removing the Fan Clutch nut on my 95-525i.

I still cannot do it with all the suggestions.
I think I need a tool or get creative.

Has someone tried that Pulley Holder tool mentioned in the Bentley's manual. Part # 115050. Any idea what it does, or how it does the job?

If someone can tell me where I can borrow/rent the tool here in Sunnyvale,CA I really appreciate it.
