I really wanted a 6-speed, but I got a really good deal on a 95 540 auto, so...

Thought I might be able to put the car in manual mode and sport-shift it, but it turns out only gears 2,3, and 4 are available. This is what car does in M mode:

2 - 2nd gear
3 - 3rd gear
4 - 4th gear
D - 4th gear.

Absense of 5th gear makes it pretty much impossible to drive this way in normal driving, and is particularly frustrating considering that the D position could have been used for this function.

Here is what I would like:

2 - car picks between 1st and 2nd (same as S2)
3 - 3rd
4 - 4th
D - car picks between 4th and 5th (same as AD).

Has anyone ever heard of a chip that would allow this (or something similar)?
