Just installed the short shift kit and WOW...what a difference.Short and precise shift, although stiffer.Maybe an ERK(effort reducing kit by UUC)would've reduced the stiffness.
The kit that I bought consists of only an extension block of about 2" and a bolt. The block is bolted to the gear lever bottom end and the gear lever rod is hooked up to the other
end of the extension block.DIY lovingly in 2 hours.
It is amazing what a 2" extension of the gear lever could do to making the gear shift throw shorter.
Having doone that,I got myself a replacement knob, round shaped, top half clad with leather, chrome bottom half.I am psyched that the car now has more 'power'.AAhhh well, the things we do.....

: Was the short shift kit you installed by UUC? If not which brand? Is the shifts now seem notchy to you as some have said in the past? Thanks.
