Heel and toe under normal driving (archive)

Hello,

I was reading some info about heel and toe downshifting under normal driving. Some people think it is good, some think it's bad. What is your opinion on doing this to preserve mechanical components such as the clutch, and to minimize car imbalance by avoiding rear wheel skid with engine braking? Do you think that it is worse for the car than normal driving?

I am no genius about these matters, that's why I am looking for some experienced people's words.

Regards,

Rafa.
