Hi Sean,

If my memory serves me correctly, there is indeed loctite on the surfaces of the steering arm. When I did my shocks I used a 1/2 drive socket wrench with an adjustable head (ie - breaker bar) Only took about 2 grunts per side to break them loose. Snap on cordless impact gun? Hmmmmm, I am really starting to see the need for one myself :o) Good Luck.

Best,
Rory

I am in the middle of replacing all control arms, thrust arms, sway bar links, tie rod ends and track rod. The only problem I have run into is the lower control arm bolt that attaches to the lower strut housing(steering arm according to the Bentley). I cannot loosen the three bolts at the bottom of the strut housing, and therefore I cannot get the lower control arm ball joint end free. I am assuming that these three bolts are Loctited or something. Do I need to heat them up, just reef on them with a sledge at the end of a wrench or what? Any help is greatly appreciated as I need to drive my car on Monday!

Thanks,
Sean
