Yup, the breaker bar did the trick on the strut housing/steering arm bolts like a charm. Everything went together well and I discovered something VERY interesting. The old upper control arms were on the wrong sides (L on R, and R on L)! They were BMW parts, and I thought they were original, so I wonder if it came that way. If not, and some other shop did it, it definitely reinforces why I do this stuff myself. Additionally, on the outside of each arm was a shiny swath that upon further inspection had been caused by rubbing the inside of the tires. Luckily, no tire damage, but they need to be replaced anyway.Thanks for all the help,
