I have heard there is a spray headliner adhesive at a reputable parts store which they claim fixes it if you take some molding off and can spray between the cloth and it's backing. Has anyone tried this? Any assistance is much appreciated!

Yes--it is easy! There are a number of spray adhesives out on the market. Any local hardware store will have it.
