I don't think real heel and toe can be done in my car anyway, since the throttle is hinged on the floor, and it can't be operated with the heel. The pedals are not right. I have to use the side of my foot to touch the brake and the throttle at the same time, and true, it is not just a blip.

Hello,

I was reading some info about heel and toe downshifting under normal driving. Some people think it is good, some think it's bad. What is your opinion on doing this to preserve mechanical components such as the clutch, and to minimize car imbalance by avoiding rear wheel skid with engine braking? Do you think that it is worse for the car than normal driving?

I am no genius about these matters, that's why I am looking for some experienced people's words.

...for low-end torque and is very heavy. This means that you can't get instant rev's by blipping the throttle. A short-throw shifter will reduce the time the engine has to slow down before you release the clutch.
