I believe that this is a relative normal problems with BMW's. I am looking to find where the sensor is for the catalyser, and how to work out if it is defective or whether the problem is actually a broken catalyser. I have been quoted in excess of $2000!! I live in Japan so if I can afford to not get ripped off I'd be thankful for any help
