I recently upgraded sway bars (Racing Dynamics) on my '90 535, and I've been very pleased with the improved control of body roll. The rest of my suspension is stock.

I think the conventional wisdom is that bigger sway bars don't have as much negative impact on ride as stiffer springs/shocks.

One question - do you know that the stock Boge's damping is tuned correctly for your aftermarket springs? If not, I'd address that first. If they're an OK match, then I'd do the sway bars.
